Weingut Esterhazy Beerenauslese 2018 is a dessert wine made from botrytized grapes grown in Burgenland, Austria. The wine has a rich golden color and offers intense aromas of dried apricots, honey, and orange peel. On the palate, it is sweet and luscious with flavors of honeyed apricot and tropical fruit, balanced by bright acidity.
To make this wine, the grapes are left on the vine until they are fully ripe and start to shrivel, allowing botrytis (or "noble rot") to develop. The grapes are then carefully harvested by hand and undergo a slow fermentation process in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for several months in oak barrels, adding complexity and depth.
