Fattoria I Veroni "Vigneto I Domi" Chianti Rufina DOCG 2021
A Chianti Rufina estate whose oldest document dates to 1582 and once served as the personal physician to Cosimo I de' Medici.
Grape Varietals & Region: 90% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo Nero and Colorino, from vineyards near Pianottolo, close to the church of San Martino a Quona in the Chianti Rufina area of Tuscany, Italy, around 250 metres above sea level.
Taste Profile: Ruby red with purple tones, intense and rich yet fine, with red berries and ripe red fruit aromas. Medium-bodied, dry, with balanced tannins, harmonic and persistent on the palate.
Winemaking Process: Fermentation on skins for about 15 days, followed by one year of maturation in French oak casks and a further 8 months of bottle ageing before release.
Winemaker: Fattoria I Veroni's history dates back to at least 1582, when it appears in the will of Bartolomeo d'Angiolo Gatteschi, personal physician to Cosimo I de' Medici; in the Middle Ages its land formed part of the Conti Guidi family's feudal estates. The Malesci family purchased the property around 1897, and current owner Lorenzo Mariani represents the fourth generation since his maternal great-grandfather's purchase, taking over from his father in 1996. The certified organic estate spans 50 hectares in the Pontassieve Hills of the Arno Valley, producing Chianti Rufina from vines close to the historic church of San Martino a Quona.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
