The underdog story of Beaujolais β outsiders, old vines, and a north-facing hillside that makes Gamay sing.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Gamay from the lieu-dit Les Labourons in the Fleurie cru, Beaujolais, France. The vineyard is north and west-facing, sitting at 360β410m altitude on degraded granite soils β among the highest elevations in all of Beaujolais. The estate practices organic viticulture on its 5.5 hectares of degraded pink granite soils, with traditional vine training methods including gobelet and Γ©ventail pruning. 2024 was a cold, hail-stunted vintage with around 80% crop loss, making this an exceptionally rare and precious bottling
Taste Profile: Les Labourons delivers a taut, floral expression of Fleurie β a slope-grown Gamay of freshness and pure, vivid fruit. Expect summertime strawberries β ripe, juicy, and fleshy β with a textural persistence you only get from Gamay grown in granite. The high-altitude north-facing site keeps the wine lifted and energetic, with delicate tannins and a long, mineral finish
Winemaking Process: Fermentation begins naturally with carbonic maceration in concrete tanks over 13 days, before the wine is moved to barrel. Grapes are lightly pressed and the juice reserved for blending. The skins are pressed slowly at light pressure, with the press juice added to the final blend to taste. Given the 2024 vintage conditions, the entirety of production was aged in barrel β exclusively 500L used barrels. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulphur

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine β as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why youβre not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.Β
