A sweet, fortified hug in a glass, built for desserts that lean into caramel and spice.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Muscat Ottonel, from the Povardarie (Vardar River Valley) region of North Macedonia.
Taste Profile: Golden-amber in colour, with aromas of elderflower syrup, dark honey, caramel, quince and hints of vanilla and cinnamon. A full-bodied, luscious wine with dried apricot and quince flavours and a toffee-edged sweetness, balanced by good acidity. Pairs well with apple pie, rice pudding with cinnamon, panna cotta, crème brûlée and other caramel-based desserts.
Winemaking Process: Late-harvested grapes are gently pressed, then fortified to arrest fermentation and preserve natural sweetness.
Winemaker: Imako Vino was founded in 2002 by Dr. Risto Ljubotenski, continuing a family winemaking legacy, and today runs alongside his daughter Dushica and son Nikola. Based in the arid Ovche Pole district of the greater Povardarie wine region, the winery has grown into one of the largest in North Macedonia, drawing on around 650 hectares of vineyards farmed both directly and through a network of local cooperatives to produce wines from regional varieties like Muscat Ottonel alongside international grapes.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
