Xavier Goodridge "Pa Pa" Pinot Noir 2024
Xavier's flagship, and an iconic smasher wine from one of Victoria's rising natural winemaking stars.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pinot Noir from the Yarra Valley, with fruit sourced from Mount Gambier and Heywood in South West Victoria, Australia.
Taste Profile: A joyous, pure-fruited Pinot designed for easy warm-weather drinking, opening with a bouquet of flowers, cherry blossoms, rose petals and hibiscus. Umami notes of fresh hazelnuts in their skins, game meat and wet forest floor sit alongside a juicy, light-bodied palate loaded with perfume, raspberry and black cherry aromas and summer berries. Serve lightly chilled.
Winemaking Process: The grapes are 100% destemmed and fermented in stainless steel for 2 to 3 weeks, then pressed and aged in a mixture of stainless steel and old barrels before being filtered and bottled.
Winemaker: Xavier Goodridge, from Bendigo, first fell into wine managing a London wine bar at 18 before returning to Australia to study winemaking, taking his start as assistant winemaker at Bress in Harcourt, Victoria, where he built a grounding in biodynamic farming. He launched his own label in 2016 with a single barrel of Pinot Noir while still working at Bress, and in 2018 took on a long-term lease on a vineyard planted in 1987 in Maffra, Gippsland, his wife's hometown, converting it to organic farming. For Xavier, winemaking is "the easy part" — his minimal-intervention approach lets spontaneous fermentation and little else, beyond a touch of sulphur, shape wines like the Pa Pa range, sourced from growers he works closely with in the Yarra Valley and Mount Gambier.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
