Ghost Rock is a cornerstone of Tasmania’s Cradle Coast, founded by the Arnold family and instrumental in shaping the region’s reputation over the past two decades. Today, the estate is led by second-generation winemaker Justin Arnold alongside his wife, Alicia Peardon.
The vineyards sit on varied expressions of volcanic clay, from loam to sand, carefully farmed to manage vigour and preserve balance. The result is a quietly confident range of wines that reflect both site and season: precise, cool-climate expressions shaped by experience rather than ego
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay from Cradle Coast, Tasmania. The Oulton Vineyard is their lowest and most protected vineyard – a place where ripeness is achieved via some of the most idyllic growing conditions. Fruit for this wine was selected from the 95 clone. Vines were shoot thinned early in season, and de-leafed prior to version to maximize airflow. Winter pruned to 3 arm arched
Taste Profile: Pale gold in color, it opens with aromas of warm vanilla and pineapple tarts, alongside nougat, fresh cream, and toasted almond. The interplay between fruit, oak, and confectionary elements creates a nose that’s both opulent and inviting, with a hint of subtle spice drawing you in further.
On the palate is generous and enveloping, delivering a full-bodied expression without sacrificing finesse. Oak spice weaves through a core of ripe stone fruit and creamy textures, balanced by a bright, crystalline acid line that speaks to its cool-climate origins
Winemaking Process: This wine was gently pressed to tank and allowed a light settling before being racked to barrel at high turbidity. It was barrel fermented at 30% new French oak from our favourite coopers. Following primary fermentation, barrels were kept warm to encourage a partial malolactic fermentation, which was then halted at 2.25 g/L or about 50% completed. The wine was then left to age in barrel, with occasional lees stirring

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
