Grounded Wine Co. "Landform" Pinot Noir Willamette Valley 2023
Named for the natural features of the earth, built by a second-generation Napa winemaking family to evoke a genuine sense of place in Oregon.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley, Oregon, hand-crafted from three favourite Dijon clones: 115, 777 and 828, sourced from biodynamically farmed vineyards across the Eola-Amity Hills, Chehalem Mountains and Yamhill-Carlton AVAs.
Taste Profile: Striking medium garnet colour with a violet hue. Focused aromas of wild strawberry, red licorice and Bing cherry lead into subtle flavours of violet and spice on the palate, with round, silky tannins creating a seamless texture through a surprisingly long finish.
Winemaking Process: Clusters were sorted and gently destemmed, followed by three days of cold soaking. The wine was pumped over daily as fermentation progressed, with temperatures kept cool to capture maximum aromatic complexity, before ageing in stainless steel and neutral French oak barrels.
Winemaker: Grounded Wine Co. was founded in 2018 by Josh Phelps, a second-generation winemaker raised in the heart of Napa Valley and son of renowned winemaker Chris Phelps (Dominus, Caymus). Josh set out to build a wine company rooted in authenticity, approachability and American heritage, launching his first vintages in 2019 and 2020 and crafting Willamette Valley Pinot Noirs like Landform from biodynamically farmed vineyards across three of Oregon's premier Pinot AVAs.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
