Domaine Guy Bocard "Vieilles Vignes" Meursault Blanc 2022
Old-vine Meursault from a family estate now in its fourth generation of Burgundian winemaking.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay, from a blend of plots on the northern Meursault terroir: Les Durots, En la Barre, Les Malpoiriers and Les Dressoles, Burgundy, France.
Taste Profile: Pale gold in colour, with aromas of white flowers and toasted brioche. An expressive attack brings Murisaltian notes of white fruit and white flowers alongside a melted woodiness; vibrant acidity sculpts the mouth, balances the wine's roundness, and stretches out the finish.
Winemaking Process: Aged 18 months, comprising 12 months in Burgundy barrels followed by 6 months in stainless steel vats.
Winemaker: The Bocard family's winemaking history began in the 1920s when Guy Bocard's grandfather established the estate, though bottling and selling their own wine didn't start until 1959. Between 1976 and 1983, Guy Bocard bought additional plots across Meursault, took over his father's vines, and built a modern winery on rue de Mazeray in 1987 before beginning to export in the 1990s. Guy passed on his expertise to his disciple René Mora, who worked alongside him from 1989 to 2001 and formally took over winemaking in 2020, following the Derichebourg family's acquisition of the domaine in 2018; the estate's 5.8 hectares, planted solely to Chardonnay and Aligoté, have been certified organic since 2022.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
