La Brune Chardonnay 2021
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay from Elgin, South Africa. The fruit comes from a vineyard planted on sandstone, with vines averaging 15-20 years
Taste Profile: Pure and clean on the palate, this wine has flavours of orange and lemon peel with some almond and a hint of coconut. Elegantly full-bodied with just a hint of oak, it has a distinct mineral core and a long finish.
Winemaking Process: 50% destemmed, 50% whole bunch pressed. 6 hours settling of the juice. Spontaneous fermentation. 60% of fermentation period in stainless steel and then moved to barrel. 10% malolactic fermentation. 12 months in 228L 'untoasted barrels'. 40% new oak rest 2nd and 3rd fill. No stirring of the lees

The La Brune dream (French for brunette) was born when winemaker Nico Grobler fell in love with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir through a close friend and Vigneron Bruno Lorenzo of Domaine Lorenzin in Mercurey (Côte Chalonnaise Burgundy).

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
