Blankbottle My Koffer 2022
'Koffer' means suitcase in Afrikaans, and this wine is the winemaker's ode to a 'suitcase full of memories' after 12 years of working with the Breedekloof-based farming family from whom he sources the Cinsault grapes.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Cinsault. Raised bush vine vineyard on the valley floor of the Breedekloof.
Taste Profile: Fresh and floral on the nose with classic flavours of cherries and strawberries, this is an elegant wine with wonderful structure and a moreish character.
Winemaking Process: The grapes were picked at optimal ripeness and cooled overnight to 4 degrees celsius. The next morning the grapes were hand sorted and transferred to tank - 30% whole bunches. The balance of the grapes were de-stemmed on top of the whole clusters. The juice underwent spontaneous fermentation in open top fermenters and received 1 punchdown per day. After 2 - 3 weeks, pressed into older French oak, 8 months on the leese, blended and bottled.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
