Weingut Pittnauer "Perfect Day" Orange 2023
Five white grapes left on their skins until the wine turns liquid gold.
Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of Gelber Muskateller, Muskat Ottonel, Traminer, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc grown across the Burgenland region of Austria, left in contact with their skins during fermentation to extract colour and tannin.
Taste Profile: Ripe stone fruits, citrus zest, dried herbs and exotic spice, with a rich, slightly grippy mouthfeel from extended skin contact, balanced by vibrant acidity.
Winemaking Process: Hand-harvested grapes macerate on their skins for 12 days to extract colour, tannin and aromatic compounds, then age in old oak and amphorae.
Winemaker: Gerhard Pittnauer took over the family estate in Gols at just 18 years old after his father's sudden death, with no formal training, becoming self-taught through years of travel and tasting. He and his wife Brigitte farm the estate on Lake Neusiedl in Burgenland, joining the Pannobile group of local growers in 1998 and converting to biodynamic viticulture from 2006. Gerhard was named Austria's Winemaker of the Year by Falstaff magazine in 2014.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
