Tatsumi Distillery Gin
Tatsumi Distillery Gin is a Japanese craft gin handmade in a small distillery in Gifu Prefecture at the foot of the Japanese Alps. Woody scents reminiscent of coniferous trees fill the nose with hints of citrus and tropical fruits soon following. A clear juniper berry profile dominates the palate, evolving into a pleasant spicy aftertaste that has an incredible complexity and richness thanks to its base spirits.
Handmade by Tatsumi-san himself using one simple botanical: Juniper berry. The Juniper is sourced from northern Macedonia and is some of the best available in the market. The Gin is distilled from two different Shochu bases, Sake Lees Shochu and Chicory Shochu. Utilising the famous Kabutogama still, gins from Tatsumi Distillery are all handmade in very small batches of less than 500 bottles to maintain consistency.
