Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pinot Noir, from estate vineyards in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA, Santa Barbara County, California. Planted to the first Pinot Noir vines in Santa Barbara County, Sanford's Sanford & Benedict vineyard proves that great wines come from great vineyards. Sanford and its two vineyards — La Rinconada and Sanford & Benedict — are perennial top performers for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in California's Santa Barbara County.
Taste Profile: Following the consistent house style for this appellation cuvée across recent vintages, expect an elegant, balanced, and appetizing wine, offering the classic red cherry, black tea, and savoury, leafy character of the grape variety on a good, tangy texture — light to medium in body, slightly tannic, which adds to the mouthfeel, with a lingering finish. Best paired with red meats, veal, or game.
Winemaking Process: Sanford's goal is to craft wines that truly capture the essence of their Sta. We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
