Old-vine Pinot Noir from small parcels tucked into some of the Côte de Nuits' most important villages.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pinot Noir from old vines ("Vieilles Vignes") in Morey-Saint-Denis, part of Marchand Frères' small holdings across Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint-Denis and Gevrey-Chambertin — villages that between them account for five Grand Cru vineyards. Marchand Frères keeps things deliberately small: modest production, hand-tended parcels, and old-vine fruit prioritized over yield.
Taste Profile: Porcini mushroom, dark cherry, plum and wet earth, with a touch of anise — medium-bodied, savoury and distinctly truffley, the kind of understated, earthy Pinot Noir that rewards a slightly more patient approach than fruit-forward New World styles.
Winemaking Process: Manually harvested and destemmed, with fermentation in wood barrels of varying ages depending on the specific appellation and vintage — a classic, unshowy Côte de Nuits approach that lets old-vine fruit and terroir do the talking.
Winemaker: Marchand Frères is the kind of small Burgundy address that doesn't chase attention — modest production, old vines, and parcels in villages with serious pedigree that never quite make it into the bottle's marketing. The wine speaks for itself instead.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
