The only Verdelho grown in Thailand — and one of the rarest bottlings GranMonte makes.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Verdelho, a Portuguese-origin variety rare outside its homeland. GranMonte was the first grower and remains the only producer of Verdelho in Thailand, first planted in 2005 and now spread across two commercial blocks within the estate's 15-hectare vineyard in the Asoke Valley, Khao Yai, 350 metres above sea level. This wine comes from vines now 12 years old.
Taste Profile: Opens with aromas of pink guava, banana lollies and white flowers. Dry and full-bodied on the palate with a luscious texture and refreshing acidity — ripe papaya and guava flavours with a dash of white pepper, closing in a long, lingering finish.
Winemaking Process: Carefully hand harvested at optimum ripeness in the cool of February for juicy flavours and natural acidity. Vinified in stainless steel to preserve the aromatics.
Winemaker: GranMonte was founded in 1999 by Visooth and Sakuna Lohitnavy, who left city life to build a vineyard in the hills of Khao Yai after Visooth's father sparked the family's love of wine abroad. Their daughter Nikki, Thailand's first female winemaker, joined the estate after earning her oenology degree from the University of Adelaide in 2008 and now leads the cellar and vineyard, continuing the family's push to prove fine wine can be made in the tropics.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
