One of Chablis's greatest premier cru sites, from a family that's farmed here since 1640.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay from the middle section of Montée de Tonnerre — widely considered one of Chablis's greatest premier cru vineyards, south-facing with an exceptional concentration of Kimmeridgian limestone packed with ancient marine fossils. The vines are 40+ years old, rooted deep into the chalky bedrock that gives Chablis its unmistakable mineral signature. Domaine Pinson has farmed in Chablis since 1640 and today holds 14 hectares across six premier crus plus Grand Cru Les Clos, run by Charlène Pinson and her father Laurent.
Taste Profile: Precise and mineral-driven, with the site's characteristic chalky backbone carrying real texture and complexity underneath — built to show more weight and depth than village Chablis while staying true to the appellation's core tension and salinity.
Winemaking Process: Fermented with indigenous yeasts in a 50/50 split of stainless steel and 4–8 year old barrels, then aged in the same vessels — enough neutral wood to build texture without imposing overt oak flavour.
Winemaker: Charlène Pinson and her father Laurent run one of Chablis's most historically rooted estates, farming land the family has worked continuously since 1640. Their reputation rests on exactly this kind of site-specific precision — treating Montée de Tonnerre's Kimmeridgian limestone as the whole point of the wine, rather than something to work around.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
