Clai Ottocento Crni Red 2018 is a captivating and expressive red wine crafted by Clai, a renowned winery located in the Istrian region of Croatia. This wine showcases the indigenous Crni grape variety, known for its depth, complexity, and unique character.
Grape Varietal & Region: Clai Ottocento Crni Red is made from a blend of Merlot & Refosk. Istria, situated on the Adriatic coast, is known for its prestigious white soil and favorable climate, which contribute to the distinctive minerality of the region's wines. Grapes are collected from the wines that are 10 to 25 years old.
Taste Profile: Prepare your senses for an enchanting journey with Clai Ottocento Crni Red. This wine offers a rich and complex flavor profile, with notes of dark fruits, blackberries, plums, and a touch of spice. It showcases a medium to full body, with velvety tannins and a well-balanced acidity that adds vibrancy to the wine. The wine's long and satisfying finish leaves a lasting impression.
Winemaking Process: Clai follows a natural winemaking philosophy, focusing on organic and biodynamic practices. Grapes are hand picked, de-steammed and gravity fed into large wooden barrels for maceration about a month which starts with natural yeasts on the temperature at 30 degrees Celsius. Grapes are mixed three times a day at which period they undergoe also malo-lactic fermentation. After pressing it is agged at least two years into big oak barrels

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
