From the very first vines ever planted in Edna Valley — a generously oaked, full-bodied Chardonnay with real Central Coast pedigree.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay from estate vineyards in the Edna Valley AVA, San Luis Obispo County, California. Chamisal was the first vineyard planted in the Edna Valley, in 1973, and now encompasses 80 acres planted to five varieties across three distinct soil types. The nearby Pacific Ocean creates a long, temperate growing season that, combined with the calcareous, clay-rich soils of the estate vineyards, produces ideal conditions for fruit of exceptional intensity and complexity. The vineyard sits in a tranquil setting just 10 minutes from downtown San Luis Obispo.
Taste Profile: The Estate Chardonnay entices with aromas of caramel, allspice, nutmeg, and lemon peel that mingle with a flinty character for a tempting bouquet. On the palate, the wine is generously yet judiciously oaked to create a luxurious, soft, and full body with notes of lemon marmalade, stony minerality, and a fresh finish. A richer, more textured style than Chamisal's unoaked bottlings — built for those who love their Chardonnay with real depth and presence. Best paired with roasted chicken, creamy pasta, or shellfish in butter sauce.
Winemaking Process: Chamisal Vineyards has a site-driven approach to winemaking, crafting each wine as an expression of the unique terroir of the vineyards from which it is sourced. When applied to Chardonnay, this approach produces a range of wines from full-bodied and supple with generous oak influence to lean, elegant, and mineral-driven — with the Estate bottling sitting firmly in the former camp. In 2010, Chamisal Vineyards became the second winery ever to achieve SIP (Sustainability in Practice) certification, a programme that requires winemaking operations, not just the vineyard, to also be sustainable and respectful of the environment

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
