Luigi Bosca Insignia Pinot Noir 2020
A fickle grape grown on 45-year-old vines in two Mendoza regions better known for Malbec.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pinot Noir, from vines over 45 years old in Luigi Bosca's Luján de Cuyo and Maipú vineyards, Mendoza, Argentina, on alluvial sandy loam and limestone soils with a gentle 1% west-east and 1% south-north slope.
Taste Profile: A bright ruby colour with a delicate bouquet of red fruits and vanilla. Lively, fresh and fine-textured on the palate, medium-bodied and dry, with balanced acidity and velvety tannins carrying cherry, strawberry and vanilla spice flavours through to a long, finely integrated oak finish.
Winemaking Process: Grapes go through manual harvesting, bunch selection, destemming and manual grain selection, then ferment in stainless steel vats at a controlled 28°C with select yeasts. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine ages partly in new French oak barrels and partly in barrels already used for 12 months.
Winemaker: Luigi Bosca was founded in 1901 by Leoncio Arizu, who had arrived in Argentina from Spain in 1890 as a fourth-generation member of a family of European viticulturists, and settled in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. He partnered with the Bosca family, Piedmontese Italian winemakers, to plant European vines and build the estate now known as Bodega Luigi Bosca — Familia Arizu. Third-generation winemaker Alberto Arizu Sr. became a founding member of the Luján de Cuyo DOC council in 1989, establishing Argentina's first Denomination of Origin, for Malbec; today, fourth-generation Chairman Alberto Arizu Jr. leads the winery's global growth while preserving its founding values.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
