Hendry Ranch Cabernet Franc 2019
Made only in vintages where the Cabernet Franc is simply too good to disappear into the Red Blend.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Cabernet Franc from vines 20-30 years old, planted on Mt. Veeder, Napa, California, at the intersection of the cooler Carneros appellation and the warmer greater Napa Valley. Morning fog and afternoon breezes from San Pablo Bay moderate the climate, giving long, warm summer days and cooler nights.
Taste Profile: Nearly opaque deep ruby in colour, with initial aromas of spice, oak and herbal elements over background berry fruit. Mocha, cocoa and berry flavours follow, with soft tannins and elegant texture; still young, and will benefit from age or decanting as it continues to unfold in the glass.
Winemaking Process: Aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, approximately 40% of which were new.
Winemaker: The Hendry family has farmed this Napa benchland since 1939, when George and Margaret Hendry bought the old Sigrist property, a section of which still carried Zinfandel vines dating to 1900. George, an agronomy professor, died in 1944, leaving Margaret to run the ranch alone, raising sons George O. and Andrew while farming grapes, prune-plums, walnuts and cattle. Their son George O. Hendry began estate-bottling the family's own wine in 1992 and expanded the property in 1994; today his nephew, Mike Hendry, oversees vineyard management, continuing more than eight decades of family stewardship over the same benchland west of Napa.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
