Five generations of one family have spent over a century convincing the world Lambrusco deserves serious attention.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Lambrusco Grasparossa, from the hills of Scandiano and Canossa in Emilia-Romagna, Italy. The vines are cordon-trained and spur-pruned in clay soil, with yields deliberately restricted.
Taste Profile: A semi-sparkling, sweet red with an intense ruby colour and a fine, rich mousse. A fruity, persistent nose of strawberry, red cherry and raspberry with a hint of violet. Sweet and fruity in the mouth, yet fresh, lively and pleasantly harmonious.
Winemaking Process: Fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the wine's fresh, fruit-forward character.
Winemaker: Medici Ermete was founded in 1890 by Remigio Medici in Reggio Emilia, a tavern owner who decided to make the most of his family's vineyards along the Via Emilia. His son Ermete expanded the estate and gave it his name; grandsons Valter and Giorgio pushed it into export markets, and the family went on to produce Italy's first single-vineyard Lambrusco, Concerto, in 1994. Now in its fifth generation under Alessandro Medici, the estate remains devoted to proving Lambrusco can be a serious wine, not just an everyday one.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
