A naturally semi-sweet red that gets its sugar from the grape alone, with no additives involved.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Saperavi, grown in the Kvareli district of Kakheti, Georgia, near Telavi at the foot of the Caucasus — one of the oldest wine-growing regions in the world, where scientists believe wine production stretches back more than 7,000 years and where many of Western Europe's grape varieties are thought to originate, carried west by the Romans over 2,000 years ago.
Taste Profile: A dark, alluring red with an aromatic bouquet of cherries and strawberries complemented by floral nuances. The palate has a soft texture, smooth tannins and high acidity balanced by a naturally occurring sweetness, showing notes of pomegranate and plums, spices, turf and prunes, closing warm and full.
Winemaking Process: Kindzmarauli is made using a combination of traditional Georgian and modern Western European winemaking techniques. The wine's residual sugar, typically 3–5%, is retained naturally during fermentation without additives or chemical intervention.
Winemaker: Schuchmann Wines was founded in 2008 by German industrialist Burkhard Schuchmann, who first discovered Georgian wine while travelling through the country as a student and fell in love with its landscape and 8,000-year winemaking heritage. He hired native Georgian winemaker Dr. Gogi Dakishvili, a third-generation vigneron, to run production at the winery's estate in Kisiskhevi, Kakheti, blending traditional Georgian technique with German precision.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
