A single-vintage Port from the house that's considered the world's leading producer of exactly this style.
Grape Varietals & Region: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz, grown at 600 metres altitude on schist-sandstone (greywacke) interspersed with granite in the Douro, Portugal — some rows planted the traditional way across the slope in horizontal terraces, others more recently planted straight up the slope ("vinha ao alto").
Taste Profile: An appealing golden-red colour, with deep aromas of dried fruit, toffee and mocha. Warm and fine on the medium-weight palate, with excellent structure and well-integrated tannin. Raisin, candied cherry, dried strawberry and orange peel play out against a backdrop of caramelised pecan.
Winemaking Process: Hand-picked at optimum ripeness, destemmed, crushed and macerated in lagares at a controlled 28–30°C with constant churning during fermentation until the desired Baumé is reached, at which point grape brandy is added to fortify the wine. It then matures in oak barrels for at least 7 years before bottling.
Winemaker: Kopke has been making wine in the Douro since 1638, when Nicolau Kopke's Hamburg-based trading house began shipping Portuguese wine decades before the region was ever formally demarcated. Over nearly four centuries the house has become synonymous with Colheita Port specifically — single-vintage, cask-aged bottlings like this one that trade on decades of patience rather than blending across years.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
