"Meigas" means "witches", and Galician legend has it that the Salnes Valley was full of witches with magic & power. Hence, Rebeca Barral wanted to create a personal project that invokes tradition, mystery & the supernatural with Albarino

Val de Meigas Albarino Rias Baixas DO 2022

Albariño VAL de MEIGAS is a personal project of Rebeca Barral, whose family has been making wines for several generations and since the early 80s has been doing so professionally in the family winery in the Rías Baixas Denomination of Origin.

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Albarino from the Salnes Valley of Galicia, Spain

Taste Profile: Straw yellow with shinning appearance. A fragrant, very intense bouquet. Full of floral and fruity undertones of a great subtlety. Smooth tasting. Filled with pleasant hints. An elegant wine that is pronounced ample of shades with fruity sensation

Winemaking Process: Organic winemaking with extended lees ageing

Lush & Tropical Whites

Succulent stonefruit with a citrus backbone characterises these wines. Typically, they have notes of tropical fruit, and come from warmer climates. A touch of oak during the winemaking process also helps to give some softness to the wine.
