Bodegas Emilio Moro “Finca Resalso” 2021
Named for a historic vineyard first planted in 1932 — the very year Emilio Moro himself was born.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Tempranillo from young vines aged 5 to 12 years, an expression of the winery's youngest vineyards centred on the Finca Resalso plot in Pesquera de Duero, Ribera del Duero, Spain.
Taste Profile: Picota cherry colour with a violet rim. Fresh from start to finish, with an expressive nose of spicy and floral aromas alongside hints of olive groves and undergrowth. Juicy cherry, plum and blackberry fruit flavours meet glimmers of vanilla, mocha, tobacco and liquorice sweet spices, framed by integrated oak, round tannins and a gliding acidity through to a warm, lasting vanilla finish.
Winemaking Process: Hand-harvested and sorted, then macerated on skins for 12 days before a 30-day malolactic fermentation in stainless steel deposits. Aged 4 months in French oak barrels.
Winemaker: Emilio Moro was born in 1891 in Pesquera de Duero and grew up treading grapes in the family's own vineyards; his son, also named Emilio, was born in 1932 and worked the land alongside him. It was Emilio's grandson Jose Moro Espinosa who, in 1987, invested the family's entire savings into winery equipment to formally found Bodegas Emilio Moro, releasing its first Ribera del Duero wine under the appellation in 1989. Three generations on, Jose and Javier Moro now run an estate of 200 hectares of the family's own vines.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
