A beautiful floral & tropical nose, with great balance on the palate.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Gewurztraminer from the Gols commune of Burgenland, Austria — part of the wider Burgenland region in easternmost Austria, which enjoys a warm climate shaped by the Pannonian Plain to the east and the Neusiedlersee. The Traminer grapes are grown on loamy granite soils on a tiny biodynamic site of just 0.25 hectares, with an average vine age of 18 years.
Taste Profile: Golden amber in colour, with an expressive Traminer bouquet of roses, nutmeg and very ripe fruit. Smooth and refreshing on the palate, with nice acidity, pithy tannins and good length.
Winemaking Process: Handpicked and macerated with skins for 8-10 days, then pressed and transferred to old barriques to rest for 6-8 months once fermentation finishes. Unfiltered, unfined, with minimal sulphur added.
Winemaker: Judith Beck took over her family's Gols estate in 2004, after studying viticulture at Klosterneuburg and working vintages at Bordeaux's Cos d'Estournel, Piedmont's Braida and Chile's Errazuriz. Back home in Burgenland, she began converting the vineyards to biodynamic farming in 2007, achieving certification by 2010, and now farms around 20 hectares around Gols using indigenous Austrian and Hungarian varieties. The result has made her one of the quietly influential names in Austrian biodynamic wine — precise, low-intervention winemaking built on family land.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
