Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Riesling from Ayler Kupp in the Saar, Mosel, Germany — arguably one of the greatest, most singular wine regions on earth, where the core of greatness is intensity without weight, grandiosity without size.
Taste Profile: A vibrant, expressive wine with ripe peach, apricot, quince and white floral notes, complemented by lime, lemon, pineapple and hints of orange marmalade and apple. Noticeable residual sweetness balances against solid acidity for a smooth yet lively mouthfeel — medium-bodied, finely intense, with a silky, easy-drinking palate and a medium-length finish that's both complex and effortlessly enjoyable.
Winemaking Process: Fermented with natural yeast, in keeping with Lauer's house style of letting each wine find its own balance rather than forcing a house template onto it.
Winemaker: Florian Lauer's style runs opposite to that of his famous Saar neighbour Egon Müller: where Müller is known for residual-sugar wines, Lauer focuses on dry-tasting Rieslings, crafting Prädikat wines — Kabinett, Spätlese and Auslese — only when the vintage allows. Fermented with natural yeast, his wines find their own balance: more textural, deeper and more broad-shouldered than many Saar wines, yet with a singular, almost preternatural sense of equilibrium, carrying the Saar's hallmark purity, precision, rigour and mineral drive.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
