Tommasi Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2020
Elegant, smooth and never overpowering: these are the hallmark traits of an amazing Amarone.
Grape Varietals & Region: Corvina 50%, Corvinone 30%, Rondinella 15%, Oseleta 5% from the prestigious La Groletta and Conca d'Oro crus, in the hilly Valpolicella Classica zone.
Taste Profile: Very intense ruby red in colour, with an intense and clean nose of very ripe cherry, black cherry and wild berries, followed by fresh, slightly spicy tones. Dry and soft at once on the palate, enveloping and beautifully balanced between acidity and tannin, with a pleasant tannic texture fading toward a finish of excellent persistence and light hints of red fruit.
Winemaking Process: Manual harvest and selection of the grapes, followed by drying for about 3 months in a well-ventilated loft. Fermentation in stainless steel for 25 days at 25°-30°C, followed by 3 years' maturation in 35 and 65 hl Slavonian oak casks.
Winemaker: Tommasi has been in the same family's hands since 1902, when Giacomo Tommasi began cultivating a small parcel of land in the hills of Valpolicella Classica. From the 1960s, brothers Sergio, Franco, Ezio and Dario carried the estate through its modern expansion, carefully acquiring and managing vineyards across Valpolicella Classica and the wider Veronese hills. Winemaking today is led by Giancarlo Tommasi, who trained at the University of Udine and took over as director of production in 2000. The estate is now run by nine cousins — the fourth generation — heirs to a family tradition that's outlasted the century it started in.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
