Nic Peterkin spent years hunting for the right Cabernet vineyard in Margaret River — when he found this wild, biodynamic block in Yallingup, it was worth the wait.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from a certified organic and biodynamic (Demeter) vineyard in Yallingup, at the northern end of the Margaret River cape — one of only four biodynamic vineyards in the region and among the first to gain Demeter certification. The site is left deliberately wild, with no herbicides or pesticides, and pigs, geese, guineafowl and native flowers roaming free among the vines.
Taste Profile: Dark, rich fruit — mulberry, dark cherry, plum — with secondary notes of prune, baking spice and clove. Big but balanced, with layers of silky tannin from extended maceration. Powerful and detailed, without real comparison elsewhere in Margaret River.
Winemaking Process: Hand-picked and sorted fruit was fermented as whole berries in oak barriques, with some whole bunches added for complexity. Cool fermentation preserved aroma and softened tannin, and the wine spent 12 months on skins in barrique before being basket-pressed, with a very low sulfur addition (0.003%) before bottling.
Winemaker: Nic Peterkin, grandson of Diana and Kevin Cullen (Cullen Wines) and son of Mike Peterkin (Pierro), founded L.A.S. Vino in 2013 after an oenology master's and years as a flying winemaker. He searched Margaret River for years before finding this Yallingup site — a rare biodynamic, wild-farmed vineyard he considered worth the wait.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
