Petit Vega 18 Meses En Barrica has freshness (altitude of vineyards) and a velvety vanilla opulence (from ageing). The nose opens to reveal liquorice, red curant, cherry and strawberry florals, cocoa, and toast. The textured palate has a core of juicy red and black fruit loaded with vanilla spice. There's just enough tannin and acidity to support the generous levels of fruit flavour, making it really fun and approachable.
The fruit comes from vines with an average age of 30 years growing in the San Juan vineyard, located at 900 metres altitude in Ribero del Duero. The average age of the vines is 30-years-old.
Handpicking of the fruit. 100% de-stemmed grapes. Fermentation under
controlled temperature in wood, stainless steel and concrete tanks. Ages in French oak barrels for 18 months and further 6 months in bottle.
From Barolo to Bordeaux, these wines are steeped in tradition. The style covers a broad spectrum of flavor profiles, but tend to be elegant and structured and can be cellared for a long time.
These wines often have savoury tones of earth, bell pepper, tobacco, cassis, and are often medium to full bodied, with long finish & structured palattes
WINES FROM UNIQUE REGIONS & BOUTIQUE WINERIES
Founded in 2019, we were bored with the typical Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Amarone & Moscato offerings at most bars & restaurants, and were inspired to dive deeper into the wine world!
