Unfortunately, due to the ongoing conflict and political instability in Syria, the country's wine industry has been greatly impacted and wine production has decreased significantly. While Syria has a long history of winemaking, the current situation has made it difficult to produce and export wine.
Domaine de Bargylus is one of the only winery estates in Syria, in the Mount Bargylus region. The region used to produced notable wines up until the rise of Islam.
