Description
Junmai Daiginjo Muroka Nama Genshu
Rice: Yamada Nishiki
Alcohol: 17.5%
Polish rate: 50%
The Ota brewing family traces its ancestry back to 15th-century samurai-poet-monk Ota Dohkan, the architect of Edo Castle, after whom the sakes are named.
This sake has the aromatic nose typical of a daiginjo, but delivers a voluptuous mouthfeel that's rare for this level of polishing. Delicious on it's own, and even better when paired with seafood & tofu dishes
Ota Shuzo
Ota Shuzo was created by the ancestors of the 15th century Samurai warrior-poet and military tactician Sukenaga Ota (1432-1486). When Sukenaga Ota also became a Buddhist monk, he adopted the Buddhist name Dohkan
