Description
Louis M. Martini Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Louis M. Martini Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is the go-to for lovers of 'Napa Cab' in the know. Savoury and full-bodied palate with fine-grained tannins and a round, elegant mouthfeel. Jammy black plum and blackcurrant flavours with notes of toasty oak and vanilla baking spice.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit comes from several of Louis M. Martini's premium Napa Valley vineyards, including William Hill, Sun Lake, Cypress Ranch, Sage Canyon and other select growers.
Handpicking of the fruit. Careful destemming of the grapes upon arrival at the winery, before transference to upright tanks for a 2-day cold soak. 15–20 days maceration with pumping over 2–3 times daily. Separate ageing and meticulous evaluation for each lot, then final blending. In total, the wine ages for 16 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels (40% new).

"A touch reduced, this red is concentrated and smooth, with dense layers of dark chocolate and cassis. Dried herb and cedar accent the ripe, rich fruit and a note of nutmeg develops on the finish." — Virginie Boone.
