Louis M. Martini
For more than 85 years, the Louis M. Martini Winery has crafted world-class Cabernet Sauvignon from the exceptional vineyards of Napa and Sonoma counties using the simple, honest premise that the best grapes make the best wines. Today, this legacy continues at their historic winery in the Napa Valley with an acclaimed collection of unforgettable Cabernet Sauvignon wines.
Louis M. Martini’s decision to settle in Napa Valley was driven by a desire to craft exceptional wines by sourcing the best fruit possible. In the years that followed Prohibition, he established a legacy of craftsmanship and a passion for Napa Valley that continues to this day. The winery's history reflects the vision, ingenuity and endurance of a family committed to making the best Cabernet Sauvignon possible.
In 2002, the Gallo winemaking family, close friends of the Martini family for three generations, purchases the winery and vineyards. Under the Gallo ownership, this famous old Napa winery has returned to its former glory.
In 2013, Michael Eddy, who spent a decade under the tutelage of Mike Martini, is named winemaker. He is the first non-Martini family member in history to hold the title, and to this day continues to produce serious quality California wines.
