Hofkellerei des Fursten von Liechtenstein Herrnbaumgarten merges two vines with strong characters to create an unmistakable, origin-oriented, fruity-mineral and animating style.
Grape Varietals & Region: Blend of 50% Riesling and 50% Grüner Veltliner. The fruit comes from the Herrnbaumgartner vineyards, which enjoys Pannonian climatic influences and has calcareous loess soils with deeper layers of small limestone pearls.
Taste Profile: The rare blend of Riesling and Grüner Veltliner from the parcels in Herrnbaumgarten creates the unmistakably original, fruity-mineral and invigorating style of our village wine, in which two varietals with their assertive individual characters meld into one unique flavor.
Winemaking Process: Completely healthy berries are partially fermented spontaneously after extended maceration and matured in used oak casks. Blended with fresh lots harvested a little earlier, they yield the refreshing variety of flavours that is so typical for the Herrnbaumgarten.
From the limestone character of Sancerre to the green, herbaceous Sauvignon Blanc of Marlborough, this style group often shows off cut grass and wet stone. Often associated with coastal regions or limestone based terroir, these wines are characterised with crisp acidity, mineraiity, citrus tones, with a hint of grassiness
WINES FROM UNIQUE REGIONS & BOUTIQUE WINERIES
Founded in 2019, we were bored with the typical Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Amarone & Moscato offerings at most bars & restaurants, and were inspired to dive deeper into the wine world!
