Champagne Laherte Freres Rose de Meunier NV
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pinot Meunier from Champagne, France. It comes from a selection of plots in Côteaux sud d’Epernay. These are old strains aged between 25 and 50 years old that are planted in deep clay-calcareous soils and treated with biodynamic practices. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
Taste Profile: Laherte Frères Rosé de Meunier is a biodynamic champagne with notes of rose petals, red fruit, orange and white pepper. On the palate it is elegant, complex and very fresh.
Winemaking Process: Laherte Frères Rosé de Meunier is the result of a combination of different winemaking methods. 60% white wine, 30% of the grapes macerated with the skins and 10% red wine. Alcoholic fermentation takes place with native yeasts, it ages on lees for 6 months with a low 2.5 gr/l dosage added. It ages for 2 years.
