The history of the winery begins with the construction of a castle cellar in Esterhazy Castle in Eisenstadt over 300 years ago and represents the new beginning of wine production in the entire area of what is now northern Burgenland. Wines typical of the area and variety at an absolute top level in connection with a clear Esterhazy signature is the driving force behind the Esterhazy winery.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pinot Noir from the Burgenland region of Austria.
Taste Profile: Dark ruby garnet with a dark core and typical brightened edges. On the nose, fine Burgundy notes of raspberries and cherries, underlined by blood oranges and marzipan. Very elegant and delicate on the palate, the silky tannins ensure a great structure.
Easy drinking red wines with bright fruit aromas and low tannins. The wines are often released without much aging in tank, oak barrels or bottle, and are meant to be drunk early
