Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in vineyards located in the village of La Morra in Piedmont, Italy.
The vineyard is approximately 20 years old and has an average density of 5000 vines per hectare. The soil is composed of clay and limestone, and the classical Guyot method with medium-short pruning is used for cultivation. Green harvest is also practiced to reduce grapes with a production per hectare of 7000 kg approx.
Taste Profile: Fruity, flowery. The vibrant and balanced acidity gives a great drinkability, making this white one of the best choice for aperitifs and afternoons with friends.
Winemaking Process: During winemaking, the grapes are harvested very ripe, meticulously selected, and stored in cold rooms at 0°C for a week. A short time of maceration at 6-8°C is followed by pressing all grapes, and the fermentation takes place spontaneously in stainless steel vats with temperature control at 15°C. There is no malolactic fermentation, and after fermentation, the wine is refined for 2-4 months in steel tanks, then bottled and refined again for another 2-4 months.
From the limestone character of Sancerre to the green, herbaceous Sauvignon Blanc of Marlborough, this style group often shows off cut grass and wet stone. Often associated with coastal regions or limestone based terroir, these wines are characterised with crisp acidity, mineraiity, citrus tones, with a hint of grassiness
