Grape Varietals & Region: Riesling & Gruner Veltliner blend. The fruit comes from older vines, grown in the deep loess soils of the single vineyard Ried Karlsberg. This vineyard has been owned by the family for more than 600 years.
Taste Profile: Hofkellerei des Fursten von Liechtenstein Premier Brut has ripeness and precise interplay of fruit with acidity and complex aromas. Ripe lemon yellow colour. Stone fruit nose leads you into a creamy and round palate with a fine mousse, ripe character and long finish.
Early harvesting for the base wine, gentle vinification with a short time on the skins. Traditional second fermentation in the bottle, two years maturing in the bottle.
From buttery brioche to baked apple and toast, this style encapsulates vintage Champagnes and other aged sparkling wines from around the world
The key element of the traditional method is secondary fermentation in the bottle, often achieved by adding a liqueur de tirage to the base wine. The end result is a soft, fine bubly mouthfeel
