Taste Profile: Tart, clearly planty, also floral and earthy to mineral nose with rather reserved yellow-fruity aromas, clearly mushrooms, a little saffron and nutty, slightly buttery as well as floral traces. Very firm, very dry, ripe yellow fruit, also again yellow spice, noticeable touch of ripe tannin, nutty and a touch of buttery aromas, fine acidity, clear minerality, persistent, tobacco traces, some warmth, good depth, very good, firm, complex, tart, nutty and extremely mineral finish, again with nutty aromas
From the limestone character of Sancerre to the green, herbaceous Sauvignon Blanc of Marlborough, this style group often shows off cut grass and wet stone. Often associated with coastal regions or limestone based terroir, these wines are characterised with crisp acidity, mineraiity, citrus tones, with a hint of grassiness
