Wine & Soul was established in 2001 by Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serôdio Borges, who are both winemakers. The couple has been actively investing in and acquiring old vineyards and properties at Pinhão Valley, Portugal. The name Wine & Soul is the product of their passion and total commitment to wine.

Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serodio Borges have made wine for some of Portugal’s most respected wineries, including Niepoort and Vale Dona Maria. In 2001, the couple decided to pursue their dream of making their very own wines and founded Wine & Soul after buying an old port lodge. In 2003, they acquired their first vineyard in the Pinhão Valley, which is planted with exceptional 76 year old vines and features more than 35 local grape varieties.
