Winemaking has been part of the Vojtek family's everyday life for more than 30 years. The winery is located at one of the most famous vineyards of Villány, at the foot of the Jammertal, where they work every day of the year to bring the finest wines to guests' tables.
History
Vojtek Winery is also a small, family-owned business, where a love for wine has permeated everyday life for generations. From today's modern building, you can identify the area where the winery was founded and the two small cellars that their great-grandfather built. Like him, today's generation of the Vojtek family is inspired by a love of Villány wine to fill their bottles with the finest wines.
The winery is managed by Csaba Vojtek, who is responsible for ensuring that every step of the viticulture is in place and supervises the journey of each grape from the stem to bottling.
His wife Eszter Vojtek, the hostess of the winery, ensures the comfort and warm welcome of their guests and manages the bottling.
Balázs Vojtek, son of Csaba and Eszter, currently supervises and manages the wine tastings and wine dinners in Budapest. Whether it's the Corinthia, the Intercontinental or the Szent Gellert Hotel, or even the Lánchíd Salon, he always knows which of the Vojtek wines will enchant the participants.
Their daughter, Fanni, always does her part in the work around the cellar when time permits.
However, the busiest member of the family is none other than Túcsök. He observes the ripening of the grapes and the harvest work with a sharp eye and an alert nose. He knows every single point of the vineyard!
The Vineyards
Production of Vojtek wines begins in the vineyards of the world-famous Villány wine region.
Vojtek Winery areas are located on 8 hectares and 3 vineyards (Jammertal, Csillagvölgy and Dobogó). In addition, they bought another 8 hectares from the surrounding vineyards, with whom friendly relations goes back several decades. Vojtek knows that their friends cultivate their fields with the same love as Vojtek does.
Wines
For the Vojtek family, tradition and modern winemaking go hand in hand. They achieve the outstanding quality of their wines by applying the two processes together.
They offer a fragrant white wine Tramini, with other white wines including Chardonnay and Italian Riesling. Their Rosé Cuvée wine is made from Kékfrankos, Cabernet Sauvignon, Portugieser and Pinot Noir grapes. Red wines are made from the famous Villány Portugieser, Kékfrankos and Cabernet Franc varieties, and their Apáinkra wine is a Bordeaux cuvée.
