The winery is uniquely located on the mountain slopes that separate the Paarl and the Stellenbosch regions. Noble Hills Wine Estate wines are fresh, light, and elegant style while focusing on Provencal style wines with their Cabernet and other blends. The estate also houses a restaurant named ‘Cosecha’ present right next to their harvest area where grapes are crushed and sorted.
The current generation running the winery at Noble Hills Wine Estate grows all of their own grapes in a 30 hectares vineyard for the production of their high quality wines.
Olive Trees on their Farms in Addition to Vineyards
Noble Hills Wine Estate is located between Stellenbosch and Paarl as the region is one of the premier winegrowing regions in South Africa. The microclimate, rainfall, temperature, and soil are perfect here for the growth and cultivation of vines. Apart from the vineyards, the winery also cultivates 1200 olive trees on their farms.
They produce a small amount of extra virgin olive oil from the Kalamata, Mission, Manzanillo, and Frantoio olives.
Main Grapes Grown at the Winery
The main types of grapes that grow here are the Chenin Blanc, Viognier, Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The best grapes are handpicked and go into the production of their high-quality red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines. Their wines are famous all over the world and have won the winery of many prestigious national and international awards. Noble Hills’ Merlot won the gold medal at the Sakura Wine Awards in 2014.
