Château Guiot is located south of the Costières de Nîmes appellation, on the first slopes overlooking the ponds of Petite Camargue. Sylvia and François Cornut first purchased the domain in 1976. The château is currently owned and managed by 9th generation vignerons twins Numa and Alexis Cornut. The twins took over in 2010, when their father François Cuiot passed away.
The Cornut family combines patience, understanding, dedication, hard work and an exceptional terroir in order to continue the Chateau’s long history of winemaking traditions.
Their 80ha vineyard benefits from a very deep soil, made up of red clays with rounded pebbles over a depth of about fifty metres, produced in the Durance 200,000 years ago. This proximity to water through the Camargue and the Mediterranean, as well as the exceptional richness and depth of the soils, give their red wines expression, maturity, suppleness and freshness.
