In the style of great origin-expressive Burgundies, Pinot Noir brings this premium vineyard site to life.
Grape Varietals & Region: The Herawingert has been one of the most important vineyards in the Rhine River Valley for 1,000 years. At the foot of the great mountain ranges, mineral and powerful Pinot family wines ripen on the expressive slate and limestone soils. The venerable age of the vines brings low yields of characteristic quality.
Taste Profile: Intense & brilliant ruby-red color; dried fruits, cherry blossoms, juniper & stone fruit on the nose, juicy on the tongue; a chocolatey texture with red berries and a refreshingly firm, long finish on the palate.
Winemaking Process: Selective hand-harvesting, aging in French barriques & tonneaus, careful maceration and selection of individual batches, with the strictest selection criteria for the final composition.
From Barolo to Bordeaux, these wines are steeped in tradition. The style covers a broad spectrum of flavor profiles, but tend to be elegant and structured and can be cellared for a long time.
These wines often have savoury tones of earth, bell pepper, tobacco, cassis, and are often medium to full bodied, with long finish & structured palattes
WINES FROM UNIQUE REGIONS & BOUTIQUE WINERIES
