Description
Chateau Tour Guiet Excellence Cotes De Bourg Rouge 2019
Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of 70% Merlot, 28% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 2% Malbec from Bordeaux, France. The Cotes de Bourg is an appellation from the town of Bourg, just north of Bordeaux city.
The town lies on the northern bank of the Dordogne river just before it combines with the Garonne to form the Gironde estuary, parallel with Margaux but on the so-called "Right Bank" of Bordeaux.
Taste Profile: The nose is young, nervous and showing a multitude of dark fruits, flowers, plums and spices, the palate has a superb concentration albeit it retains a nice balance, nicely packed with a complex spicy and long aftertaste. Authentic and typical artisanal wine from Côtes de Bourg.
Winemaking Process: Vinified in oak vats, followd by maturation in French oak barrels for 12 to 16 months depending on vintage
