Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Blaufränkisch from Burgenland, Austria. The fruit comes from up to 30 year old vines, grown on limestone with clay-rich black soil.
Taste Profile: Mid salmon pink with gold tints. Restrained, red wild berries, pickled cherry fruit, a hint of chocolate. Substantial, powerful body, hints of cloves, white tropical fruit, subtle fruit sweetness on the finish, good length; a powerful companion for the table.
Winemaking Process: The juice undergoes 8 hours of skin contact, followed by spontaneous fermentation in used oak barrels, and 9 months on lees. 1 month of bottle ageing before release
Provence rose is going to be the classic representation of this wine style. Usually, these roses emit a salmon pink hue, and Cinsault is a common grape varietal to make these wines, but Syrah & Pinot noir are other rising varietals to produce wines in a similar style
Characterised by dry pink berry & grapefruit notes, with crisp acidity & minerality
