Grape Varietals & Region: Sourced from their Somerset Vineyard. The block was planted by the Howard family in 2007 on fine clay loam soil.
Taste Profile: It's a bright, flavoursome yet textural and creamy Chenin that's impeccably crafted. Beautiful stuff.
Winemaking Process: The fruit was hand picked, whole bunch pressed and juice transferred directly to large format seasoned French oak, where the wine underwent barrel fermentation. During the eleven month èlevage, bâtonnage was conducted to build creamy texture to support the fruit and subtle oak spice.
Succulent stonefruit with a citrus backbone characterises these wines. Typically, they have notes of tropical fruit, and come from warmer climates. A touch of oak during the winemaking process also helps to give some softness to the wine.
