Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay. This Chardonnay was sourced from their Somerset Vineyard and Oakey Creek Vineyard.
WInemaking Process: The fruit was handpicked and pressed with the juice transferred directly to large format, tight grain, French and Austrian oak and a concrete pyramid, where the wine underwent fermentation. During the seven month élevage, bâtonnage was conducted to build complexity.
Full-bodied fruit and spice, often with the ability to age. This style usually relies on new oak to impart vanilla driven characteristics. Malolactic fermentation & on lees ageing also contributes to the texture
