Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Riesling from the scheidterberg vineyard in Ayl, Saar, Germany. A premier cru plot, the vines average 32 years old, and is grown on slate soils.
Taste Profile: The southern exposure allows for late ripening, and the wine has long ageing potential. On the nose, delicate smoky spice, floral notes & salted caramel dominate. Expect a balanced aromatic Riesling with a stonefruit backbock, than it fresh & inviting, already in it's youth
WInemaking Process: Hand harvest & 50% cold maceration, with wild yeast & spontaneous ferment. It sits 2 months on lees before aging in oak barrel
